Responsibilities
- Perform repairs and modifications on truck bodies, including sheet metal work, auto body repair, and auto painting
- Utilize MIG welding, soldering, and other welding techniques to assemble or repair vehicle structures
- Conduct vehicle maintenance tasks such as auto glass replacement, detailing, and auto restoration projects
- Use hand tools and power tools efficiently for fabrication, assembly, and repair processes
- Apply auto estimating skills to assess damages and determine necessary repairs accurately
- Operate airless paint sprayers and other equipment for finishing touches on vehicle surfaces
- Assist with auto body alignment, heavy lifting tasks, and ensuring all repairs meet safety standards and specifications
Qualifications
- Dealership experience or background in automotive repair strongly preferred
- Proficiency in MIG welding, sheet metal fabrication, and auto body repair techniques
- Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and auto restoration processes
- Experience with auto painting, auto glass installation, and auto estimating is advantageous
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and auto body assembly methods
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on quality workmanship and attention to detail
