What are the responsibilities and job description for the Unarmed Security Guard position at Cobra Security?
Cobra Security LLC is expanding its event security team! We are looking for professional, vigilant, and currently licensed Unarmed Security Guards to provide safety and support for various special events, concerts, and community gatherings throughout Oklahoma.
This role is ideal for individuals seeking a flexible, "as-needed" schedule while working in dynamic and exciting environments. As an unarmed guard, you are the face of our security team, focusing on hospitality, observation, and proactive safety management.
Key Responsibilities
- Asset & Personnel Protection: Provide a visible, armed presence to deter criminal activity and ensure the safety of event staff and guests.
- Crowd Management: Monitor event flow and manage access control at VIP entries or restricted zones.
- Surveillance: Utilize sharp situational awareness to identify potential threats or medical emergencies before they escalate.
- Rapid Response: Act as a first responder to incidents, utilizing de-escalation tactics or necessary force as permitted by law and company policy.
- Professional Reporting: Complete concise and accurate incident reports for any notable events during a shift.
- Able to Perform Task outside of Traditional Security Work: On some event venues such as Weddings, we are tasked with simply maintenance task such as filling paper towels, checking breakers, and blowing leaves from the ceremony area.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Licensure: Must possess a current and valid Oklahoma Unarmed Security License (CLEET).
- Experience: Previous experience in law enforcement, military, or high-level private security is strongly preferred.
- Equipment: Must provide your own duty gear and firearm (must meet company safety standards).
- Physicality: Ability to stand or patrol for long durations, often in outdoor or crowded environments.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends, days, evenings, overnights, and holidays as required by the event schedule.
- Background: Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Appearance: Must be professional looking at all times while working. Clean cut with facial hair kept neat and clean. Any piercings must be of professional appearance.
