Position Summary
The CNC Mill Operator is responsible for operating CNC milling machines to manufacture precision components that meet company quality standards and production requirements. This role does not require machine setup or programming experience; however, candidates must possess prior CNC machining experience and be capable of performing routine tool changes and conducting independent quality inspections.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate CNC milling machines safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload raw materials and finished components.
- Perform routine tool changes due to wear or breakage and verify proper tool performance.
- Monitor machine operations and identify potential production or quality concerns.
- Read and follow blueprints, work instructions, and inspection requirements.
- Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Ensure all parts conform to engineering drawings and quality specifications.
- Accurately record inspection and production information.
- Report machine malfunctions, tooling concerns, or nonconforming parts to supervision.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to all safety standards and company policies.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and production objectives.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years of CNC machining or CNC machine operating experience required.
- Previous experience operating CNC milling machines in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and manufacturing documentation.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments and performing independent quality inspections.
- Ability to perform routine tool changes without assistance.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Dependable attendance and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
