About the Role
Cobra Logistics is seeking an experienced Driver Recruiter to source, screen, and onboard qualified CDL drivers for our OTR and touch freight operations. This role is critical to maintaining a compliant, safety-focused driver pool that meets FMCSA standards and supports our fleet's growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and recruit CDL Class A drivers through job boards, referrals, and industry networks
- Conduct initial phone/video screening interviews against company driver qualification standards
- Verify CDL licensing, MVR history, and prior employment per FMCSA Part 391 requirements
- Coordinate pre-employment drug screening, background checks, and PSP report reviews
- Guide candidates through the onboarding and orientation process
- Maintain accurate applicant tracking and driver qualification files
- Report to Safety & Compliance team to ensure all hires meet regulatory standards
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified drivers for ongoing fleet needs
Qualifications
- 2 years of CDL driver recruiting experience (freight/logistics industry preferred)
- Working knowledge of FMCSA driver qualification requirements (Part 391)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience with ATS/recruiting software
- Ability to manage a high-volume recruiting pipeline
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
