Overview

Coborn’s Inc. is expanding our Merchandising Team! As a result of growth, we are hiring an Inventory Analyst to assist in analyzing and optimizing our inventory performance across several categories within our business!

 

As an inventory analyst within Coborn’s, you will be focused on aligning our store-level replenishment needs with wholesaler ordering cycles, inventory programs, and merchandising strategies. You will partner closely with our Category Managers and external partners to ensure high stock rates, accurate order placement, and overstock or shrink is at a minimum.

Duties Overview:

 

Inventory Forecasting & Replenishment

  • Maintain strong in-stock levels and efficient inventory turns by working closely with wholesaler systems and tools.
  • Review and adjust replenishment settings and shelf profiles.
  • Validate order suggestions to prevent overstocking or stockouts.
  • Update minimum and maximum levels, pack sizes, and order cycles based on trends and availability.
  • Track fill rates and lead times to guide inventory strategy.

Prebook & Seasonal Inventory Planning

  • Manage seasonal and prebook orders to align with sales forecasts and promotional calendars.
  • Place timely pre-book orders that align with forecasts and space.
  • Use past performance to guide seasonal quantities.
  • Track sell-through and share insights with Category Managers and wholesalers.

 

Merchandising & Promotional Support

  • Support store readiness for promotional events through accurate inventory planning.
  • Prepare inventory for upcoming ads and promotions.
  • Align order timing with deal windows and product flow.
  • Work with category teams to adjust for wholesaler-driven promotions.

 

Analytics & Reporting

  • Provide reporting and insights to improve inventory performance and address supply gaps.
  • Compare planned vs. received orders and flag discrepancies.
  • Identify risks from item changes, discontinuations, or allocations.
  • Maintain dashboards and reports on inventory KPIs.
  • Analyze issues (e.g., out-of-stocks, overstocks) and suggest fixes.
  • Support business reviews with data and trends.
  • Collaborate with teams to guide decisions using analytics.

 

Wholesaler & Cross-functional Coordination

 

  • Serve as the main point of contact between stores, merchandising, and the wholesaler for inventory-related matters.
  • Work with wholesaler teams to resolve stock/order issues.
  • Ensure store-level setups and catalog changes are accurate.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • 2 years of experience in inventory planning, merchandising analytics, or demand forecasting.
  • Grocery, retail, or consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry experience preferred.
  • Experience working with a wholesale grocery distributor or understanding of wholesaler ordering systems preferred.

USD $55,000.00 - USD $87,000.00 /Yr.
