Product Strategy Manager Position Overview
CobbleStone Software is seeking a Product Strategy Manager to build, operate, and continuously evolve our product intelligence and decision system.
This role is responsible for transforming market, customer, competitive, and internal signals into validated, prioritized, and executed roadmap outcomes across product, platform, AI (VISDOM), compliance, and integration domains.
This is not a traditional backlog management role. This position owns the end-to-end product operating system.
The ideal candidate combines systems thinking, analytical rigor, and executive-level communication with the ability to enforce discipline while operating pragmatically in a fast-moving SaaS environment.
Success Measures
Success in this role will be measured by the effectiveness, discipline, and impact of the product decision system, including:
Signal Quality & Intake Discipline
- High completeness and accuracy of intake data
- Reduction in duplicate and low-value inputs
- Consistent adherence to intake and triage SLAs
Pipeline Health & Insight Generation
- Clear progression of signals into validated trends and candidates
- Balanced and actively managed pipeline across product domains
- Reduced aging and stagnation of items in the pipeline
Prioritization Rigor
- Consistent use of a structured scoring model in roadmap decisions
- Increased percentage of roadmap items tied to validated, evidence-backed candidates
- Reduction in reactive or anecdotal prioritization
Strategy-to-Execution Alignment
- Full traceability from product strategy (Aha!) to engineering execution (Azure DevOps)
- Elimination of orphaned or misaligned development work
- Improved clarity of roadmap intent across teams
Outcome-Based Product Performance
- Measurable adoption and usage of delivered capabilities
- Reduction in recurring customer and support issues
- Demonstrated impact on revenue, retention, or strategic positioning
Key Responsibilities
This role owns the end-to-end product decision system—from signal intake through roadmap execution and measurable outcomes.
Product Strategy & Intelligence
- Build and lead a structured product intelligence function across market, customer, competitive, and technology signals
- Translate insights into clear strategic recommendations and roadmap opportunities
- Stay ahead of trends in CLM, AI-driven contracting, and enterprise workflow platforms
Intake & Idea Management
- Design and enforce a scalable intake system across all internal and external sources (Sales, Support, Customer Success, etc.)
- Ensure high-quality, deduplicated, and properly categorized inputs within Aha!
- Maintain discipline around intake standards, routing, and signal quality
Opportunity Pipeline & Discovery
- Own the end-to-end pipeline from signal → trend → validated opportunity
- Lead structured discovery efforts including problem validation, solution options, and feasibility analysis
- Produce clear, standardized business cases with defined impact, risks, and success metrics
Prioritization & Roadmap Governance
- Operate a quantitative prioritization model balancing strategy, revenue impact, customer value, and effort
- Lead cross-functional governance forums (weekly, monthly, quarterly) to drive decision-making
- Ensure balanced investment across product, platform, AI, and compliance initiatives
Strategy-to-Execution Alignment
- Ensure full traceability from product strategy (Aha!) to engineering delivery (Azure DevOps)
- Eliminate misaligned or orphaned development work
- Partner with engineering leadership to maintain alignment between roadmap intent and execution
Performance & Continuous Improvement
- Define success metrics for all initiatives and measure post-release outcomes
- Use adoption, customer impact, and business results to refine future decisions
- Establish a closed-loop system that continuously improves product performance
Competitive Intelligence
- Build and maintain a structured view of the competitive landscape, including capabilities, releases, and positioning
- Translate insights into actionable product and go-to-market strategies
Stakeholder Leadership & Communication
- Serve as the central point of alignment across Product, Engineering, Sales, and Customer teams
- Communicate roadmap decisions and strategy clearly to executive leadership
- Translate complex product concepts into clear business narratives
Additional Duties

Required Experience
- 5 years in product management, product strategy, or related leadership roles
- Proven experience building and operating product operating models, governance systems, or portfolio frameworks
- Strong background in B2B SaaS and Enterprise workflows/platforms.
- Demonstrated experience with:
- Product discovery methodologies
- Prioritization frameworks and tradeoff decisions
- Cross-functional leadership and executive communication
Preferred Experience
- Experience with Aha!, Productboard, or similar product management platforms
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar execution systems
- Exposure to:
- AI/ML-driven product capabilities
- Regulated industries (public sector, life sciences, etc.)
- Contract lifecycle management or adjacent domains
