Essential Functions (Other Duties as Assigned)
  • Supports site leadership by executing assigned operational tasks; does not participate in managerial decision-making or formal leadership duties
  • Provide direction to team members during shifts as delegated by site management, ensuring adherence to established procedures and standards
  • Escalate all staffing, customer service, or operational issues requiring judgement or discretion to the Site Manager or Assistant Manager
  • Greet and engage customers with professionalism and enthusiasm, promoting membership programs and special promotions
  • Demonstrate and maintain in-depth knowledge of car wash packages, pricing, promotions, and processes
  • Safely operate and train others on the use of car wash equipment and chemicals
  • Monitor and guide vehicle entry and exit procedures to ensure safe, damage-free customer experiences
  • Delegate team members to appropriate workstations and monitor for efficiency and quality output
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness and upkeep of the facility, including vacuum stations, equipment rooms, restrooms, and outdoor areas
  • Performs routine cleaning and maintenance tasks including but not limited to pit cleaning, vacuum bag/ station cleaning, tunnel upkeep, dumpster cleaning, and removal of debris, to ensure a safe, clean, and operational car wash environment
  • Performs duties as assigned, including operational and cleaning tasks that support site, shop, or store upkeep
  • Conduct quality control checks on both interior and exterior cleaning standards
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures strictly per company protocols; financial handling and site security are performed under management diressction
  • Serve as a keyholder; assist in opening/closing procedures including securing the site
  • Address customer issues or escalate concerns to management as needed
  • Model and enforce adherence to company policies, safety procedures and operating standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support site operations

Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, not required
  • Previous leadership experience in a customer-facing or operational environment (retail, car wash, etc.) preferred
  • Must be at least 16 years of age (or older where required by law or safety regulations)
  • Valid driver's license preferred (may be required depending on location and responsibilities)
  • Must meet all required certification and regulatory compliance standards applicable to the role as defined by federal, state, and local laws
  • Must be able to successfully pass a background check in accordance with company policies and applicable laws

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge

Understanding of basic customer service principles and practices
Familiarity with car wash packages, pricing, promotions, and process flow and willingness to learn
Awareness of safety protocols and chemical handling procedures
Knowledge of company policies, standard operating procedures, and cleanliness standards

Skills

Ability to clearly give instructions, resolve conflicts, and engage with customers
Ability to motivate team members and delegate responsibilities
Problem solving and decision-making skills under pressure
Time management and task prioritization during busy shifts
Basic technical aptitude to operate car wash equipment
Basic computer skills, including the ability to use email, navigate spreadsheets (e.g., MS Excel) and perform standard data entry tasks

Abilities

Ability to lead by example in a fast-paced environment
Ability to monitor and evaluate team performance during shifts
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a customer-first focus
Ability to maintain composure and professionalism under stress
Physically able to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods, and work in outdoor conditions

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to walk, stand, and move, often uneven, moving and/ or wet surfaces through site
  • Ability to stoop, crouch, bend frequently, and constantly using fingers, hands, and arms including occasional ascending and descending a ladder
  • Ability to twist, carry, reach, push, and pull frequently
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds without assistance for work-related materials
  • Ability to work outdoors and be efficient in all weather conditions
  • Ability to work on your feet in a fast-paced, physically active environment
  • Use of personal protective equipment (gloves, eyewear, etc....) as required
  • Must be able to work in an environment with varying noise levels, including loud sounds from machinery, tools, or high-traffic areas
  • Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends, as business needs or emergencies arise
