Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Construction Data Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting construction-related data to support project management teams in making informed decisions. The role will involve working with large datasets, creating reports, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights to enhance project efficiency and cost management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Collection and Analysis:
- Gather and organize construction project data from multiple sources including project management systems, financial tools, and field reports.
- Analyze construction project data to identify trends, cost anomalies, and project delays.
- Collaborate with project managers and field teams to ensure data accuracy.
- Reporting:
- Generate regular and ad-hoc reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly) on project performance, including budget tracking, resource allocation, timelines, and productivity.
- Create dashboards for real-time project insights, using tools such as Excel Power BI, Tableau.
- Provide data-driven recommendations to optimize project performance and budget adherence.
- Project Forecasting and Risk Assessment:
- Assist in developing project forecasts, including cost estimations, schedule projections, and resource needs.
- Identify potential risks or areas where corrective actions are required.
- Work with stakeholders to proactively address project issues using data insights.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Support cross-functional teams by providing clear data reports, visualizations, and presentations.
- Ensure all stakeholders are updated with accurate and timely project data.
- Facilitate data-driven decision-making processes by presenting complex information in an easily digestible format.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Recommend process improvements in data collection and reporting methods to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Stay updated with industry best practices and technology advancements in construction data analysis.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in data analysis within the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of construction project management and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
- Experience in handling large datasets and complex databases.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to provide actionable insights.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in developing and automating construction-specific reports.
