Cobble Hill Health Center is a not-for-profit long- and short-term care facility providing services to the disabled and elderly for over 40 years.
The RN Unit Manager is a key member of the Nursing Leadership Team and is responsible for overseeing the daily clinical operations of the assigned unit. The RN Unit Manager supervises nursing staff, ensures quality resident care, and works closely with the interdisciplinary team to maintain compliance with all regulatory standards while promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the clinical leader on the unit, overseeing resident care from admission through discharge
- Supervise and support nursing staff including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs
- Ensure residents receive high-quality care in accordance with individualized care plans
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other interdisciplinary team members
- Monitor resident conditions and respond to changes in health status
- Participate in care plan meetings and communicate effectively with residents and families
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and clinical documentation
- Provide guidance, education, and mentorship to nursing staff
- Promote a positive team environment focused on resident-centered care
Requirements:
- Current RN License in New York
- CPR Certification
- Nursing Degree (ASN or BSN)
- Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting required
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience required
- Strong clinical assessment and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize and coordinate activities of the nursing unit
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities

Salary : $129,000 - $130,000
