Duties
- Perform oil changes, tire rotations, and basic vehicle inspections quickly and accurately to keep vehicles in optimal condition
- Conduct alignments and tire services using specialized equipment to ensure proper vehicle handling and safety
- Diagnose automotive issues utilizing automotive diagnostics tools and mechanical knowledge to identify necessary repairs
- Use hand tools and power tools efficiently for repairs, maintenance, and component replacements
- Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks such as brake repairs, fluid top-offs, and filter replacements
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining services performed and recommending additional maintenance or repairs when appropriate
- Maintain a clean, organized work area while adhering to safety standards during all repair activities
Skills
- Proven dealership or automotive repair experience with a solid understanding of automotive service procedures
- Strong mechanic experience with proficiency in automotive diagnostics and troubleshooting techniques
- Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension components
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment for effective repairs
- Ability to lift heavy parts or equipment safely during maintenance tasks
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude
- Sales aptitude to recommend additional services or products that benefit the customer’s vehicle health and safety
