What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teacher position at Cobb Head Start?
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- Acceptable criminal records check
- Experience with preschool or kindergarten age children, including those with special needs
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle that can be used on the job
- Aware of cultural and linguistic diversity of the children and families we serve
- Knowledgeable of basic computer skills
Job Duties Include:
- Provide a safe, nurturing, stimulating and secure learning environment
- Prepare lesson plans based on data collected during observations
- Monitor and record progress of children
- Maintain all required documentation
- Hold parent/teacher conferences and conduct student home visits
- Work to provide early establishment of a trusting and productive partnership with their students’ families to promote the advancement of those children and families
- Meet all guidelines and policies of the classroom
- Work to insure that all aspects of the program meet or exceed Head Start Performance Standards and other requirements as set forth in the funding agency regulations
- Work to insure that all aspects of the program meet or exceed all requirements set forth by the governing agency
- Follow all guidelines set forth in the Ninth District Opportunity’s Personnel Policies, Procedures Manual, and Operations Plan
- Attend training sessions as required by the agency

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
