ORGANIZATION OVERVIEW
Cobb Community Foundation (“CCF” or “Foundation”) is a grant‐making public charity that ACTIVATES GOOD. On a day‐to‐day basis, we work closely with individuals and businesses who have established charitable funds, nonprofits serving our community, and other stakeholders working to create a higher quality of life in Cobb.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Programs Specialist is an entry-level role supporting the implementation and administration of CCF’s competitive grant and scholarship programs. This individual will assist in coordinating key components of program operations from application and review processes to distribution and post-award tracking, while gaining exposure to the Foundation’s broader work.
This role provides opportunities to interact with fundholders, donors, nonprofit partners, board members, and community stakeholders. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn, with an interest in community impact and nonprofit operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Support
- Support the application, review, and selection processes for scholarship and grant programs
- Assist with onboarding new scholarship funds and grant programs
- Provide administrative and logistical support for selection committees, including scheduling, materials preparation, and meeting coordination
- Assist with distribution of funds, ensuring alignment with Foundation policies and procedures
- Support tracking and basic evaluation of program outcomes
Stakeholder Support
- Serve as a point of contact for applicants and partners, responding to inquiries and providing guidance on processes
- Support relationships with fund advisors, educational institutions, and nonprofit partners
- Assist with coordination of program-related communications in collaboration with Communications staff
- Help organize and support events related to grantmaking and scholarship programs
Data Management and Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of applications, awards, and communications in grant and scholarship management systems
- Assist with tracking program metrics and outcomes
- Support preparation of reports for internal and external stakeholders
Process and Operational Support
- Assist in documenting and improving program processes and workflows
- Support implementation of best practices in grant and scholarship administration
General Foundation Support
- Assist with cross-functional initiatives, events, and special projects as needed
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment by supporting organizational priorities

QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree with 0–2 years of relevant experience (internships or related experience in nonprofit, administrative, or program support roles preferred)
OR 5-8 years of relevant business or nonprofit experience
- Demonstrated reliability, integrity, and strong attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Outlook, and Word)
- Familiarity with databases or willingness to learn grants and scholarship management systems

Position: Full‐time exempt
Salary: $50,000 - $60,000 dependent on experience
Benefits:
· Health, dental, and vision insurance, disability, long-term care, life insurance with immediate eligibility
· 401(k) eligibility after 1 year with 3% employer annual contribution
· 15 days paid time off
· 15 paid holidays
· Office closed week of July 4th (in addition to above)
· Work from home option up to 2 days/week after 60 days of employment depending on performance

Hours: 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Deadlines, initiatives and events periodically require work outside of these hours.
