Deburr Technician

We have an immediate opening for an experienced Deburr Technician.

This position utilizes the operator’s skills and knowledge to efficiently perform the manual blending, polishing and creation of edge breaks on precision aerospace and defense components with focus on quality and attention to detail. Operators work in a well-lit area with engineered dust controls.

Typical Duties:

• Use various types of hand and power tools to remove burrs, break edges and produce a clean finish on precision machined parts to specified requirements and tolerances.
• Communicate with leadership about process problems and possible solutions.
• Read and interpret work instructions, detailed drawings and specifications.
• Work within a defined process to meet quality and time standards.
• Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.

Skills & Abilities:

• Communicate effectively with both oral and written skills.
• Good organizational skills & ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Work within a team environment where manufacturing and quality work together to ensure quality products are produced.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1-year prior experience using hand-finishing equipment
• Have fine motor skills with frequent repetitive motion of the hands, wrists, and arms.
• Previous experience with inspection methods and techniques using tools such as calipers, micrometer, height gage, profilometer, radius gages.
• Strong interpersonal communication, both written and verbal and ability to work cooperatively and/or civilly with all employees
• Ability to routinely handle objects weighing up to 20 lbs.
• Ability to follow step-by-step instructions
• Ability to read and interpret drawings & specifications
• Ability to complete assigned work within deadlines
