Job Title: Woodshop Technician
Department: Woodshop
Reports To: Department Supervisor
FLSA Status: Hourly
Summary: Builds and assembles plastic, wood, and foam substrates to Cobalt quality standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Work off daily or weekly schedule set by leadership depending on area.
- Build parts to blueprints and or build instructions. Match parts to workorders for accurate assembly and quantities.
- Tasks including but not limited to sanding, grinding, trimming, stapling, assembling, heat forming, routing on plastic parts in a wide variety of shapes and sizes.
- Perform standard housekeeping duties throughout the day.
- Other duties may be assigned as required.
- Perform in accordance with Cobalt’s safety policies and procedures.

General knowledge of operating power tools and hand tools safely; must be able to read and execute build instruction from work orders.
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
