The Director of Quality is responsible for leading and managing all quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement activities for the FAA Part 145 Repair Station. This position ensures the organization maintains full compliance with FAA regulations, customer requirements, OEM standards, and internal quality management systems while promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence.
The Director of Quality serves as the primary authority for inspection systems, quality procedures, audits, corrective actions, and regulatory interactions. This role partners closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and executive leadership to drive compliance, reduce risk, and improve overall operational performance.
Essential Job Functions:
- Ensure continuous compliance with FAA Part 145 regulations and Repair Station Manual (RSM) requirements.
- Maintain oversight of the Quality Management System (QMS) including policies, procedures, and inspection processes.
- Ensure full compliance with all applicable FAA, EASA,CAAC, CAA (UK), ISO9001/9110,OSHA, and customer-specific safety and quality regulations, standards, and procedures.
- Serve as the primary liaison with the FAA, customers, and regulatory agencies during audits, inspections, and investigations.
- Lead and manage Quality Assurance, Receiving Inspection, Final Inspection, and Internal Audit functions.
- Establish andmaintaininspection standards to ensure product conformity and airworthiness.
- Review and approve corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) related to quality findings, escapes, and audit observations.
- Develop and manage internal audit schedules and external audit readiness programs.
- Lead customer, FAA, and third-party quality audits and ensuretimelyresolution of findings.
- Analyze quality metrics and operational trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Lead, mentor, and develop Quality department personnel including inspectors, auditors, and quality engineers.
- Collaborate cross-functionallywith Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and leadership teams to support companyobjectives.
- Lead oversight of quality management systems to ensure procedures are consistently followed and documentedin accordance withPart 145 Repair Station requirements.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum 8–10 years of progressive aviation quality experience within an FAA Part 145 Repair Station environment(MRO Experience).

- Strong understanding of maintenance documentation, technical publications, and regulatory compliance practices.
