Cosmetology Instructor Position (Substitute)
Seeking a substitute Cosmetology instructor to teach the fundamental theory and practical skills necessary to help students build the foundation of becoming a professional, licensed Cosmetologist in the state of California.
Schedule
Schedule is on call. This substitute may be called to sub day sessions or evening sessions, depending on operational needs.
Possible shift times include: Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday 5:30pm - 10:30pm as well as Monday - Friday 9am - 4:30pm.
Essential Duties
- Delivers lectures
- Supervises and advises on student salon activity (student client services)
- Reviews cosmetology program curriculum and delivers daily lesson
- Performs practical demonstrations on different haircutting, hair coloring, hair styling, makeup, nail care, and skincare techniques
- Conducts student skill evaluations
- Records and tracks student grades, attendance, and performance
Qualifications
- Must hold a valid Cosmetology license from the state of California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology.
- Minimum of 3 years industry related experience.
Pay: From $23.00 per hour
