What are the responsibilities and job description for the Secretary for Pupil Services/Special Education position at Coatesville Area School District?
Successful candidate will perform day to day secretarial duties. Duties include:
- Manage onboarding/off boarding of contracted employees for both Special Education And Pupil Services.
- Review and process Employee clearances as part of the onboarding process
- Communicate with necessary departments, buildings about incoming and outgoing employees for start and end dates
- Work with Director of Athletics and Activities to onboard/offboard volunteer coaches
- Maintain records of contracted employees for payroll, Office of School Safety and Director of Special Education and Director of Pupil Services
- Maintain filing of Confidential Student Special Education and 504 records
- Answering phones, creating purchase orders, maintaining spreadsheets
- Other Duties as assigned
Skills:
- Must be proficient in Excel and Word
- Must be extremely organized
- Must be able to communicate effectively both in written and verbal communication.
- Must be able to multi-task
- Must be able to problem solve
Qualifications: High School Diploma required. Skills Assessment will be given.
Salary: $20.00/hour
Works: 8 hours per day, 250 days

External Candidates will be required to provide mandatory clearances. This includes the Act 34 (State Criminal Clearance), Act 151 (Child Abuse) and Act 114 (FBI Clearance). All Clearances must be within 1 year of application date. Candidates not providing updated clearances will not be considered for employment.
