Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces thoroughly by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Execute precise painting techniques using hand tools, power tools, airless spray systems, and conventional spray equipment for interior and exterior applications.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and schematics to accurately follow project specifications.
- Perform surface repairs such as plastering, caulking, masonry work, stucco application, and trim carpentry to create a smooth foundation for painting.
- Apply various coatings including industrial paint finishes, renovation coatings, and specialized spray paints while adhering strictly to safety regulations.
- Use visual color comparison skills to match paint colors accurately according to client requests or design plans.
- Maintain a clean work environment by managing waste materials and ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored after use.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in residential and commercial painting projects with a strong portfolio of completed work.
- Skilled in construction site experience including blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, and schematics.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, airless paint spraying equipment, and construction spray painting techniques.
- Knowledge of construction painting surface preparation standards and safety regulations including respiratory protection protocols.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and mixing paints accurately.
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes and renovation procedures is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent visual color comparison skills; ability to interpret color theory effectively.
