About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations and lead a small team supporting a growing real estate portfolio.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in accounting and property management who is ready to take ownership of financial operations and grow into broader leadership responsibilities over time.
What You’ll Do:
Team Leadership
- Manage and develop a team of 3 (AP, AR, Accounting Lead)
- Set daily priorities and ensure alignment across the team
- Provide coaching, accountability, and performance oversight
Accounting Operations
- Oversee AP and AR processes and ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Own the month-end close process (target approximately 5 business days)
- Review and manage bank reconciliations and financial reporting
Trust and Property Accounting
- Ensure compliance with trust accounting standards, including no commingling of funds
- Oversee financials across approximately 75 entities and properties
- Support client communications related to distributions and reporting
Financial Oversight
- Monitor cash flow across the management company
- Partner with external CPAs on reporting and audits
Qualifications:
Required
- 3 to 7 years of accounting experience
- Prior people management experience
- Experience with multi-entity or property management accounting
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
- Experience owning or heavily contributing to month-end close
Preferred
- Experience in real estate or property management
- Familiarity with AppFolio, Yardi, or similar systems
- Exposure to trust accounting or DRE guidelines
- Experience with CAM reconciliations
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary: $100,000 to $110,000
- Medical, dental, vision (50% covered)

Location:
- Onsite in Gardena, CA
- Office relocating to San Pedro, CA
- 5 days per week in office
