What You'll Do:
- Obtains patient consent, health history, vital signs, medication list, and risk factors. Provides care per guidelines, regulations, and patient needs. Manages patient flow.
- Administers treatments, medications, and vaccines. Consults with providers to address concerns. Educates patients on health maintenance and condition management.
- Documents assessments and data in medical records.
- Collaborates with teams to improve care and outcomes.
- Maintains exam rooms, tracks medication/supply expiration dates.
- Assists with obstetrical non-stress tests.
- Handles telephone triage calls.
- Manages new patient records and appointment scheduling.
- Assists in procedures as needed.
What We're Looking For:
- Valid nursing license (RN) in Maine or Medical Assistant (MA) certification
- Completion of nursing/MA training from an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
- Experience in a medical office or hospital setting preferred.
- Current CPR certificate.
- Current appropriate immunizations as required to work in field.
- Previous experience in obstetrics or gynecology is highly desirable.
