Job Summary
Coastal Waste Solutions is seeking a skilled Vacuum Truck Operator to join our team. This role is essential to our operations, ensuring the safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible removal and transport of liquid waste, sludge, and other materials.
You’ll be responsible for operating and maintaining vacuum trucks, performing inspections, ensuring regulatory compliance, and assisting with emergency response efforts when needed.
Duties
- Vacuum Truck Operation
- Safely operate vacuum trucks to collect, transport, and dispose of liquids, sludge, and other materials.
Maintenance & Inspection
- Perform routine maintenance and pre-/post-trip inspections on trucks and equipment.
- Identify and report mechanical issues promptly to ensure continued safe operation.
Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain accurate and complete job documentation, logs, and disposal records.
- Ensure full compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations.
Teamwork & Communication
- Work closely with team members to complete jobs efficiently.
- Communicate effectively about job progress, equipment condition, and safety concerns.
Emergency Response
- Participate in emergency cleanup or disaster response efforts, including spill containment and post-storm operations
- Follow all company and industry safety procedures and standards during equipment operation.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements.
- Proven experience operating vacuum trucks or similar heavy equipment.
- Working knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and environmental safety regulations.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions precisely.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
