We are looking for a full time Production Lead that is a driven multi-tasker with a great attitude, strong work ethic and great communication skills. The role includes hands-on tasks setting up and directing printing and finishing, and leadership of Production Assistants who operate the printing and finishing equipment (printers, cutting tables, laser cutters, plotters, laminators).
The Production Lead will be responsible for the successful setup, printing and finishing of graphics on wide format printers (Epson S60600 eco-solvent, HP 800W Latex, Canon M5W, EFI Pro 16h UV flatbed), laminators and cutter/plotters (Summa S60, Esko/Kongsberg XN table cutters, Aeon Mira 9 laser). This role consists of 70% Printing & Production / 20% Production Planning and Coordination / 10% Inventory & Maintenance.
You will be responsible for meeting deadlines for various print projects while continually communicating and conferring with the team on daily workflow and deadlines.
Job duties include:
· Lead daily print production operations, assign tasks to production team members
· Setup print ready graphics and perform other pre-press related actions on client provided files
· Perform finishing on produced graphics and signage, with an emphasis on applying vinyl and components to create finished products (e.g. mounting, laminating, cutting)
· Operation and maintenance of large format printers, cutter, laminator and plotter
· Finished jobs packed up and made known that they’re ready for pickup/delivery
· Continuously and with positive approach coordinate with the rest of the team
· Monitor and train production staff as needed
· Lead and evolve production quality control process
· Utilize and continuously evolve our Total Quality production process, focusing on early problem identification and resolution, enabling greater efficiency and minimal rework
· Maintain a clean and organized production area
· Inventory organized, labeled and accounted for
· Document inventory of parts, products and other consumables as needed
· Use our order management system to manage and produce incoming work orders
· Able take direction and continuously seek self and team improvement

· Comfortable directing production team members with focus on safe, consistent high quality production processes
· Comfortable with a team oriented approach to work, able to easily consult and communicate with members of the Implementation and Production team
· Able to lift up to 50lbs
Ideal candidates will also possess:
· Experience on a team producing products in a multi-stage production environment
· Experience with hands on work with adhesive vinyls and other wide format products highly valued
· Experience with large format printers, laminators, cutters and plotters
· Experience with graphic and signage finishing
· Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
