Armed School Security Officer Bluffton, SC

We are hiring a full-time Armed School Security Officer to provide security at school campuses in the Bluffton, SC area. You will be responsible for helping maintain a safe and secure learning environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. This role requires a professional, alert, and approachable individual who understands the unique responsibilities of working in a school setting.

This position follows the school calendar with a consistent Monday-through-Friday schedule during school hours. Summers, school holidays, and breaks follow the district schedule.

• Provide armed security coverage at assigned school campus(es)
• Monitor access points and control entry to school buildings and grounds
• Conduct foot and vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeters
• Monitor CCTV and alarm systems as applicable
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation
• Serve as a visible, professional security presence on campus

Full-time, Monday through Friday during school hours, following the school calendar. Weekends and school holidays are off. Hours may vary depending on campus events or district requirements.

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Must possess or be able to obtain a SC SLED Armed Security Officer Registration
• Clean criminal background must pass SLED background check and school district screening
• Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation
• Must reside in or be willing to commute to the Bluffton, SC area
• Availability to work Monday through Friday during school hours
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional demeanor and composure under pressure
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and perform foot patrols
• High school diploma or GED

• Prior law enforcement, military, or security experience
• School or campus security experience
• Crisis intervention or de-escalation training
• Familiarity with access control systems, CCTV, and incident reporting

• Consistent, school-based schedule weekdays only, school holidays off
