Coastal Roots Lawn & Landscape LLC is growing, and we are currently accepting applications from dependable, motivated individuals interested in future full-time, part-time, and seasonal opportunities.

What We Do
Our services include:
- Residential and commercial lawn maintenance
- Landscaping and property cleanups
- Aeration, overseeding, fertilization, and turf care
- Turf and ornamental treatments
- Vegetation management
- Qualified pest-management services
- Seasonal property maintenance
Responsibilities
Depending on experience, qualifications, and position, responsibilities may include:
- Mowing, trimming, edging, blowing, and general lawn maintenance
- Operating commercial zero-turn and stand-on mowers
- Landscape installation, planting, seeding, and property cleanups
- Aeration, overseeding, fertilization, and other turf services
- Operating trimmers, blowers, sprayers, and other equipment
- Assisting with pesticide and turf-treatment services when properly trained and supervised
- Mixing and loading products according to label directions and company procedures when qualified
- Following pesticide labels, PPE requirements, application procedures, and safety policies
- Cleaning and maintaining trucks, trailers, tools, and equipment
- Completing required job and treatment documentation
- Providing professional service on residential and commercial properties
Pesticide Training & Advancement
Pesticide experience is not required.
For employees selected for our treatment operations, Coastal Roots may provide training toward becoming a Virginia Registered Technician.
Any pesticide work performed by an employee in training will only be performed when properly trained and under the supervision required by Virginia law.
Employees who demonstrate reliability and the ability to learn may have opportunities to develop additional skills in turf management, pesticide application, ornamental care, vegetation management, equipment operation, and commercial property maintenance.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license preferred
- Reliable transportation to the designated meeting/work location
- Lawn care, landscaping, farming, construction, or other outdoor experience is a plus
- Commercial mower/equipment experience is a plus
- Pesticide, fertilizer, horticulture, or plant knowledge is a plus but not required
- Ability and willingness to learn new equipment and procedures
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform physical outdoor work
- Ability to work in heat, cold, and changing weather
- Dependable and safety-conscious
- Professional around customers and their properties
- Able to work independently and as part of a crew
- Willing to take on additional responsibility as the company grows

Schedule: Hours and start dates will depend on workload, season, weather, and available positions.
