Catering Captain/ Lead (On-Call)
Coastal Roots Hospitality is looking for an experienced and reliable Catering Captain to work at our offsite events. This is an on-call position. You will be responsible for the successful delivery of events, organizing resources and employees, and the transport of food and supplies to the venue, setting up tables and foodservice equipment, serving guests, directing on site staff, and clean up once the event is over. Our ideal candidate has at least two years of catering server and bartending experience, preferably with upscale events. You must have reliable transportation, good driver history, and a flexible schedule.
Catering Captain Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee sucessful delivery of events
- Manage and direct onsite staff during setup, execution, and breakdown of event
- Communicate with host and ensure expectations are being met
- Communicate with Coastal Roots leadersip to ensure success and report on execution of event
- Transport food and supplies to the venue
- Set up for food service and maintain throughout event
- Serve guests meals, beverages, appetizers
- Clean up during event and once the event is over
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Assist with setup day before and load in
Catering Captain Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED certificate (preferred)
- 2 years of catering server and bartending experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Computer proficiency
- Flexible schedule
- Reliable transportation
- Clean driving record
