Duties
- Install new copier and printer equipment at client sites, ensuring proper setup according to OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications
- Conduct routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on various copier and printer models using hand tools and schematics
- Diagnose hardware issues related to mechanical components, computer hardware, and network connectivity to restore optimal device performance
- Assist with software troubleshooting including driver updates, network configuration, and integration with existing IT infrastructure
- Use technical manuals, schematics, and OEM guidelines to identify issues and perform equipment repairs efficiently
- Support field service operations by traveling to client locations for on-site installations and repairs
- Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports of all activities performed during installations or repairs
Requirements
- Basic mechanical knowledge combined with familiarity with computer hardware and networking concepts
- Experience as a service technician or in a related field involving equipment repair or installation preferred
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex issues effectively
- Proficiency with hand tools and small equipment repair techniques necessary for precise adjustments
- Strong understanding of IT concepts such as computer networking, device drivers, and software troubleshooting
- Willingness to learn about OEM equipment specifications and adhere to manufacturer guidelines
- Excellent communication skills for customer interaction and teamwork in a fast-paced environment
