About the RoleWe’re looking for an experienced Field Engineer / Technician to support electrical acceptance testing, maintenance, commissioning, and troubleshooting at customer sites across the region and beyond. In this hands-on role, you’ll work with low-, medium-, and high-voltage power systems, collaborating closely with customers, project teams, and junior technicians to ensure safe, reliable electrical performance.

What You’ll Do- Travel to customer sites to inspect, test, troubleshoot, and commission electrical power systems
- Perform maintenance and testing on switchgear, circuit breakers, transformers, cables, and generators (LV/MV/HV)
- Test and calibrate relays, protection systems, power metering, and controls
- Troubleshoot automatic transfer switches (ATS), motor control centers (MCCs), and generator controls
- Execute retrofits and system upgrades
- Lead and mentor junior technicians and trainees
- Conduct Job Hazard Analyses (JHA), including arc-flash and shock assessments
- Document test results and complete field reports, time sheets, and expense reports
- Ensure strict compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements
- Support sales and project teams as a technical subject-matter expert when needed
- 5 years of electrical field service, testing, or commissioning experience (preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of low-, medium-, and high-voltage power systems
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and one-line/three-line drawings
- Hands-on experience with electrical test equipment such as megger, hi-pot, WRM, TTR, power factor, and breaker test sets
- Solid understanding of LOTO, industrial safety practices, and job hazard analysis
- Strong communication, organization, and customer-facing skills
- Professional, safety-driven, and team-oriented approach
- High school diploma or GED required
- Engineering degree or 10 years of relevant field experience preferred
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Comfortable climbing ladders, scaffolding, and operating man-lifts
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs occasionally
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and overhead work
