Director of Construction

Coastal Pointe Homes is seeking a highly driven Director of Construction to lead and scale our construction operations as we continue expanding throughout Florida.

This is a leadership role for someone who understands residential construction from the ground up and is ready to help build the systems, teams, and operational discipline required to support a company delivering 100 homes annually.

You will work directly with the Chief Operating Officer and executive leadership team to improve construction efficiency, shorten build cycles, strengthen trade relationships, maintain quality standards, and help create a scalable construction platform built for long-term growth.

This is not a desk job. We are looking for a builder, operator, and leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes ownership of results.

• Oversee all active residential construction projects
• Manage construction schedules, timelines, and project delivery
• Ensure homes are completed on time, on budget, and to company standards
• Identify and eliminate construction bottlenecks
• Improve cycle times and operational efficiency
  

• Lead and develop superintendents, field personnel, and construction staff
• Establish accountability, performance metrics, and reporting systems
• Recruit and onboard construction team members as the company grows
• Create processes that support scaling to 100 homes annually
  

• Develop and maintain strong subcontractor relationships
• Manage vendor performance and accountability
• Assist with contract negotiations and trade partner sourcing
• Ensure labor resources keep pace with company growth
  

• Maintain construction quality standards across all projects
• Reduce warranty claims and punch-list items
• Implement inspection and quality assurance processes
• Ensure a positive homeowner experience throughout construction
  

• Work directly with executive leadership on operational planning
• Help develop scalable construction systems and reporting
• Participate in forecasting, budgeting, and growth initiatives
• Assist in building the operational infrastructure necessary to support future expansion
  

• 7 years of residential construction experience
• 3 years in a construction leadership role
• Experience managing multiple residential projects simultaneously
• Strong understanding of Florida residential construction practices
• Proven ability to lead teams and subcontractors
• Experience with scheduling, budgeting, and project management
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
