Laundry Aide

· Must be able to read, write and follow instructions.

· Must be physically and mentally able to perform the job.

Responsibilities:

· Pick up dirty clothes and linens in barrels.

· Check all hall closets when putting out clean linens to make sure they are organized.

· Attend in-service sessions when held

· Clean laundry room and other equipment daily or as needed.

· Clean dryer filters regularly, and frequently.

· Check chemical storage containers frequently to be sure there is an adequate amount.

· Check water frequently for proper temperature.

· Place patients’ clothes in appropriate areas in patients’ rooms.

· Straighten patients’ clothes in drawers and closets at least twice weekly.

· Sweep outside area of laundry when needed and keep area neat and orderly.

· Perform any other task assigned relating to laundry and housekeeping.

· Ensure that labels on clothes are properly maintained, visible and attached.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
