Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and responsible Tree Crew Leader/Arborist Trainee to join our team. This role involves leading tree care projects, supervising crew members, and gaining hands-on experience in arboriculture and landscape maintenance. Duties
- Lead and coordinate tree pruning, removal, planting, and maintenance operations
- Supervise crew members to ensure safety protocols and project standards are followed
- Operate and maintain tree care equipment such as chainsaws, bucket trucks, and stump grinders
- Tree climbing experience is ideal
- Conduct site assessments to determine the scope of work and develop project implementation and safety plans
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and environmental guidelines
- Provide training and mentorship to new team members or trainees in arboriculture techniques
- Assist in the development of project timelines and resource allocation
Experience
- Prior experience in tree care is preferred
- Knowledge of OSHA and ANSI tree care standards
- Ability to satisfy our client's goals is a must
- Leadership skills with the ability to motivate team members and lead by example
- Hands-on experience with construction or heavy equipment operation related to outdoor projects is beneficial
