The Opportunity
Command the Ditch. Lead Elite Underground Utility Crews for a Three-Generation Industry Leader.

Coastal Pipeline Inc is seeking an experienced and safety-focused Pipe Foreman (Site Supervisor) to lead and oversee underground utility construction projects. Serving Broward and Palm Beach counties since 1964, our family-owned and operated firm brings over three generations and 120 combined years of estimating and field supervision expertise to every jobsite.

This role is ideal for a proven, autonomous field leader with deep technical expertise in underground utilities, heavy equipment operation, and crew management. You will serve as the absolute on-site authority, supervising daily operations, maintaining safety compliance, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and to the highest quality standards. We hire self-motivated field commanders, give them complete operational control of their ditch logistics, and provide a stable project pipeline to build a long-term career. If you want to lead from the front with a company that has a long-standing, historic reputation for excellence and treats you like family, Coastal Pipeline provides the ideal platform.

Key Responsibilities
You will hold total command over on-site crew coordination, heavy equipment operation, layout precision, and rigorous regulatory safety compliance:
  • On-Site Field Command: Lead and supervise field crews on complex underground utility projects, driving productivity across sanitary sewer, water main, storm drainage, fire line, and dewatering installations.
  • Heavy Equipment Operation: Safely and efficiently operate heavy machinery, including excavators and front-end loaders, while transporting project trailers and equipment as needed.
  • Grade Engineering & Plans Interpretation: Read and interpret complex construction plans, blueprints, and plan profiles; set up laser beams and levels for exact grades, and accurately log physical progress in field books.
  • Unyielding Safety & OSHA Stewardship: Maintain strict OSHA compliance on-site, taking direct responsibility for mandatory trench safety parameters and confined space requirements.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Communicate effectively and professionally with project inspectors, general contractors, and internal team members to maintain schedule alignment.
  • Logistics & Inventory Control: Track and maintain active on-site material inventory to eliminate downtime.
  • Field Administration Metrics: Keep accurate daily records and workforce timesheets, while conducting and documenting mandatory weekly safety meetings.
  • Asset Maintenance: Oversee the proper maintenance, inspection, and cleanliness of company trucks and field construction equipment (saws, compactors, etc.).
  • Culture Stewardship: Promote a culture of reliability, professionalism, positive attitude, and safety at all times.

What You Need to Succeed (Qualifications)
  • Underground Utility Tenure: 8 years of dedicated, professional experience in underground utility construction.
  • Machinery Mastery: Proven proficiency in operating excavators, loaders, and related heavy earthmoving equipment.
  • Advanced Grading Fluency: Strong ability to read civil construction plans and set up precise grades using laser levels.
  • Safety Credentialing: Valid OSHA certifications for trench safety and confined space requirements are strictly required.
  • Leadership & Organization: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to maintain accurate records and oversee field crews.
  • Logistics Infrastructure: Valid Driver’s License with a clean, insurable driving history.

Compensation & Premium Benefits
We reward production leadership, technical precision, and structural safety with a comprehensive total rewards framework:
  • Competitive Salary: $85,000.00 – $90,000.00 / year customized to your field experience and utility tracking record.
  • Field Mobility Assets: Company Vehicle provided for professional site visits and regional field coordination.
  • Performance Incentives: Access to performance or annual bonuses tied directly to project success milestones.
  • Health & Welfare: Comprehensive Health Insurance Options.
  • Work-Life Balance Allocations: Earned Paid Time Off (PTO) alongside dedicated frameworks for sustainable work-life balance.
