Job Summary:
This position will be responsible for keeping the overall grounds clean, functional and free of trash and debris so that every guest gets the best possible experience. Given the size of the property, the daily groundskeeping work will be a constant work in progress to ensure that everyone that visits our property sees the same level of cleanliness, and organization and can enjoy the beautiful views and landscaping. Essential Qualifications and Experience:
This position will be responsible for keeping the overall grounds clean, functional and free of trash and debris so that every guest gets the best possible experience. Given the size of the property, the daily groundskeeping work will be a constant work in progress to ensure that everyone that visits our property sees the same level of cleanliness, and organization and can enjoy the beautiful views and landscaping. To be successful in the Groundskeeper role, their responsibilities will include:
- Spot sweeping trash and debris.
- Blowing off the lots, loading dock areas, main foot traffic areas, and green space.
- Trash removal from the beach.
- Emptying trash cans on the property and the beach.
- Keeping all planting beds clean, neat, and manicured.
- Ensuring that all plantings are being watered properly.
- Keeping boardwalks clean and free of debris or hazards.
- Light pruning or trimming when needed.
- Pressure washing of all high-traffic pedestrian areas.
- Ensuring that all site lighting is working properly.
- Keeping all parking lots clean and free of obstacles and debris.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Ability to work in a warm/hot environment
- Ability to multitask and take ownership of the different tasks that are assigned
- Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative independent of direct supervision
- Ability to effectively communicate with guests, peers, and management
- Valid driver’s license
- Basic computer knowledge; how to send and receive emails
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Working in a standing position for up to 8 consecutive hours
- Constant moving, talking, hearing, reaching, grabbing, and occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders
- Willingness to work peak hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
Starting Rate: $18 per hour
