Temp PRN MRI/X-Ray Technologist

Job Summary
Coastal Neurological Institute (CNI) is seeking a skilled and dependable X-Ray/MRI Technologist to join our growing clinical team. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced neurology practice. This role supports our providers by delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality radiographic imaging according to provider orders and established protocols.
• Prepare patients for imaging procedures and ensure their comfort, privacy, and safety.
• Verify patient identity and orders, document all required information accurately in the EHR.
• Maintain and operate radiology equipment, ensuring it is safe, clean, and functional.
• Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and maintain appropriate shielding and exposure practices.
• Assist with maintaining imaging logs, quality assurance records, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with providers, medical assistants, and front-office staff to ensure smooth clinic flow.
• Support clinical workflow as needed, including room turnover, stocking supplies, and assisting with patient care tasks within scope.
• Communicate imaging results workflow to patients (not diagnostic interpretation).
• Report equipment issues or safety concerns promptly.

Experience

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Current ARRT certification
• Must obtain MRI registry within a year.
• Current BLS certification preferred.
• Previous outpatient or neurology experience a plus, but not required.
• Strong communication and patient-service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
