Job Summary
Coastal Neurological Institute (CNI) is seeking a skilled and dependable X-Ray Technician to join our growing clinical team. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced neurology practice. This role supports our providers by delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality radiographic imaging according to provider orders and established protocols.
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures and ensure their comfort, privacy, and safety.
- Verify patient identity and orders, document all required information accurately in the EHR.
- Maintain and operate radiology equipment, ensuring it is safe, clean, and functional.
- Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and maintain appropriate shielding and exposure practices.
- Assist with maintaining imaging logs, quality assurance records, and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with providers, medical assistants, and front-office staff to ensure smooth clinic flow.
- Support clinical workflow as needed, including room turnover, stocking supplies, and assisting with patient care tasks within scope.
- Communicate imaging results workflow to patients (not diagnostic interpretation).
- Report equipment issues or safety concerns promptly.
Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Current ARRT certification (R) and Alabama state license (or eligibility).
- Current BLS certification preferred.
- Previous outpatient or neurology experience a plus, but not required.
- Strong communication and patient-service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
