Coastal Medical Transportation Systems is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and general ledger activities. The Staff Accountant will play a key role in journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes while ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger
Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities
Reconcile balance sheet and selected income statement accounts
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable as needed
Support payroll accounting, accruals, and related reconciliations
Analyze variances and investigate discrepancies
Assist with financial statement preparation and supporting schedules
Maintain accurate accounting records in accordance with GAAP
Support internal and external audit requests
Participate in process improvements and special projects
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
2–4 years of relevant accounting experience
Working knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles
Experience with accounting/ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables and lookups preferred)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Independently motivated with a proactive mindset.
Compensation: The expected salary range for this position is $60,000–$70,000 per year, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.
