Medical Office Assistant
Location: Ribaut Rd, Beaufort, SC 29902
Pay Rate: $18.30/hr- $22.24/hr (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, M-Th 8:30 am – 5 pm; Fri 8:30 AM – 4 PM
About the Role
We are seeking two reliable and professional Medical Office Assistants to join a busy medical practice in Beaufort, SC. The ideal candidates will provide outstanding front office support and patient service in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and check in patients in a friendly, professional manner
- Manage check-out procedures and ensure follow-up appointments are scheduled
- Answer multi-line phones, return messages, and route calls appropriately
- Schedule patient appointments and coordinate with clinical staff
- Handle incoming and outgoing faxes, scan and file documents
- Maintain accuracy and confidentiality in all patient records (EMR)
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare professionals
Qualifications
- 1 year of experience in a medical front office or healthcare administrative role preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and electronic health record systems
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a clinical setting
