Description: The Director of Clinical Operations is responsible for overseeing all clinical functions to ensure exceptional patient experience, efficient workflows, and compliance with regulatory standards. This role manages clinic operations, surgery scheduling, documentation, and staff performance while maintaining high standards of care and operational excellence.
- Represents NIOS in a manner that ensures a positive service image and tone for the organization.
- Design and implement strategies to optimize patient flow across clinics and surgical services.
- Monitor patient satisfaction and develop initiatives to enhance the overall experience.
- Ensure front desk operations deliver professional, courteous, and efficient service.
- Oversee surgery scheduling and coordination with physicians, anesthesia, and facilities.
- Ensure timely and accurate scheduling of clinic visits and procedures.
- Collaborate with providers to minimize delays and maximize resource utilization.
- Ensure adherence to HIPAA, OSHA, and other regulatory requirements.
- Oversee documentation standards and compliance with MIPS reporting.
- Implement quality improvement programs and monitor performance metrics.
- Manage EHR systems to ensure accurate documentation and interoperability.
- Train staff on EHR best practices and maintain data integrity.
- Evaluate and implement technology solutions to improve efficiency and patient engagement.
- Monitor overtime and implement staffing strategies to control labor costs.
- Oversee procurement and inventory of medical supplies to ensure availability and cost-effectiveness.
- Recruit, train, and manage clinical and front desk staff.
- Develop performance evaluation systems and staff development programs.
- Foster a positive work culture and ensure compliance with HR policies.
- Supports other areas of the Institute as requested by practice leadership.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field OR equivalent combination of education and progressive experience in practice management.
Experience
- Minimum 7–10 years of progressive financial management experience, preferably in healthcare.
- Strong knowledge of patient scheduling and EHR systems.
- Experience leading teams and managing multi-site operations
