Receiving Coordinator & Inventory Manager

Coastal Machine is an AS9100-certified precision CNC manufacturer serving the Defense, Space, and Oil & Gas industries. We're hiring the person who owns everything about material from the moment it hits our dock until it ships as finished goods: receipt, inspection status, traceability, and inventory accuracy.

This is not a stockroom job. It's a control role. You'll be the system owner for inventory integrity — the person QA, Manufacturing, and Finance all trust when they ask "what do we have, where is it, and can we prove it?"

What You'll Do

• Receive and verify all inbound material, tooling, and outside-processed parts against POs, revisions, and packing slips
• Perform incoming inspection per control plans and customer requirements; verify material certs, C of Cs, and special process documentation
• Determine material status (accept / quarantine / nonconforming), initiate NCRs, and enforce physical segregation and labeling
• Own inventory accuracy in our ERP (ProShop): timely receiving transactions, cycle count program, physical inventories, and discrepancy investigation
• Maintain lot, serial, heat, and job traceability from Receiving through WIP to Finished Goods
• Keep inventory audit-ready and support internal, customer, and third-party audits; drive corrective actions on inventory-related findings
• Track and report inventory KPIs (accuracy, cycle count compliance, adjustment trends, NCR escapes) and recommend improvements

Your Authority

You are authorized to quarantine or reject material, initiate NCRs, and stop material from releasing until inspection and documentation are complete. We expect you to use that authority.

What You Bring

Required:

• 2 years in inventory control, materials management, or receiving/incoming inspection in a manufacturing environment
• Hands-on incoming inspection experience, including reading drawings and specifications
• Strong ERP proficiency (ProShop a plus) and demonstrated cycle count / physical inventory experience
• Detail-driven, process-disciplined, and comfortable stopping material flow when something isn't right
• Must be a U.S. person (U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident) per ITAR requirements

Preferred:

• Aerospace, defense, or other regulated manufacturing experience
• Audit support experience and familiarity with material certifications, traceability, and quality systems
• Basic GD&T understanding

What Success Looks Like

Physical inventory matches the ERP. Only conforming, documented material enters stock. Incoming defects get caught at the dock, not in production. Audits come and go without inventory or receiving findings.
