Coastal Kids is a new childcare facility coming to Brunswick County! Duties
- Supervise children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with special needs or disabilities
- Serve nutritious meals and snacks tailored to dietary requirements and preferences
- Engage children in educational activities, playtime, arts and crafts, and outdoor exploration to promote development
- Maintain a clean and organized environment by performing regular cleaning duties and sanitizing toys and surfaces
- Administer basic first aid when necessary and follow safety protocols diligently
- Support children with their daily routines such as diapering, dressing, nap times, and potty training
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians about their child's progress, needs, and any concerns
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or caregiving roles
- Knowledge of child development principles across different age groups including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers
- Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hiring)
- Ability to perform light cleaning tasks to maintain a hygienic environment
- Experience cooking or meal preparation for children with diverse dietary needs
- Compassionate attitude towards working with children with disabilities or special needs
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with families and team members effectively
