Coastal Hospice invites you to join a team of caregivers who are committed to promoting dignity and quality of life for patients and families who face life-limiting conditions. As a nightshift RN at our Macky & Pam Stansell House inpatient facility, you will:
- Be responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating a plan of patient care utilizing ANA (American Nurses Association) Standards and the Nursing Process
- Utilize equipment and technology skillfully and is technically competent in nursing procedures
- Oversee and/or participates in safe medication handling and practices
- Educate patients and families on significant self-care and end of life issues, all hospice services, patient liability for payment and ensures consent and payer forms are completed
- Act as a patient advocate. Provides support, information and direct care
- Oversee and delegates assignments of CMTs, LPNs, Hospice Aides, students and volunteers on shift
- Maintain appropriate licenses and adheres to continuing education obligations
Education and Work Experience Requirements:
- Licensed and currently registered to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland, Delaware or other compact state
- BSN from an accredited college preferred
- CHPN certification expected within two (2) years of employment
