What are the responsibilities and job description for the Volunteer Services Coordinator position at COASTAL HOSPICE INC?
Coastal Hospice invites you to join a team of caregivers who are committed to promoting dignity and quality of life for patients and families who face life-limiting conditions. In your role as a _Volunteer Services Coordinator____, you will help ensure that every patient and family is honored, supported and comforted as they receive the right care at the right time throughout their journey by:
Essential Functions:
- Assigns volunteers to duties fitting their interests, training, and capabilities to include, but not limited to, patient visits and administrative work
- Assists with recruiting, orienting, training, and coordination of volunteers for all programs of the organization
- Maintains and updates volunteer files to assure compliance with Medicare, State of Maryland, The Joint Commission, and other regulatory, funding, or accrediting organizations
- Assists with implementing processes to recognize volunteers
- Coordinates volunteer activities for We Honor Veterans presentations
- Supports Volunteer Services by maintaining volunteer records, supplies, and equipment, and supports the organization by ensuring admissions materials are copied and assembled
- Driver’s License in your state of residence with a good driving record and access to a reliable automobile
- Must possess automobile insurance coverage with minimum limits of $100,000/$300,000
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Represents Volunteer Services at weekly Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) meetings
- Attends offsite/off-hours events to educate and recruit volunteers
Education and Experience:
- High School Education or equivalent
- Two years’ experience in an office setting, customer service, or related field
