Job Summary:
The HR Specialist works collaboratively with the Chief People Officer to ensure all Human Resources functions are completed. Each HR Generalist is responsible for understanding all HR functions. The team supports each other and acts as a backup for functions outside of their normal daily duties as needed. Work is performed under the limited supervision of the Chief People Officer.
Essential Functions:
- Provides exceptional customer service to stakeholders, including employees, managers, applicants, and vendors
- Maintains logistics of employee files to ensure accuracy and compliances
- Manages the recruitment module in HRIS and communicates with candidates in a timely manner
- Ensures all pre-employment screening is accomplished according to policy
- Facilitates new employee orientation and makes recommendations for improvement; coordinates scheduling of presenters
- Processes terminated employee files and conducts exit interviews
- Develops and presents non-clinical education opportunities for staff
- Manges FMLA, PWFA, and personal leaves of absence, including but not limited to employee interactions, manager notifications, and tracking of hours
- Manages ADA requests in conjunction with the Chief People Officer
- Maintains knowledge of company payroll and benefit administration policies and procedures, including ACA (Affordable Care Act)
- Processes employee time reports and verifies accuracy for payroll input
- Enters and transmits payroll for processing to payroll processing vendor
- Monitors and reconciles HSA accounts, 403(b) contributions, and other deductions every pay period to avoid technical and programming errors in payroll processing system
- Ensures payroll deductions are properly authorized and recorded in payroll processing system
- Verifies Retirement Plan website with salary and designated contribution changes
- Maintains high degree of confidentiality
- Driver’s License in your state of residence with a good driving record and access to a reliable automobile
- Must possess automobile insurance coverage with minimum limits of $100,000/$300,000
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assists Chief People Officer with completion of departmental projects and assignments
- Actively maintains and improves usage of our HRIS and other systems
- Acts as a resource to hiring managers in conducting and coordinating interviews
- Liaises with Education Coordinator to ensure a smooth onboarding and orientation process for all new hires
- Assist Chief People Officer with employee relations issues, as requested
- Assist Chief People Officer with compensation projects or issues, as requested
- Reviews completed payroll processor reports and verifies YTD totals every other pay period
- Continuously educates oneself regarding human resources laws and best practices
- Performs other duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Two to four years’ experience in human resources, payroll, or relevant field
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or related field
- HR Certification
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to safely operate an automobile
- Ability to lift and carry up to 15 pounds with or without the use of assistive devices
- Ability to use hands and fingers for repetitive motions like typing and using a mouse
- Close visual acuity for reading small print and using a computer
Salary : $60,000 - $85,000
