Key Responsibilities
As a Director of Operations at Coastal Franchising, you will be responsible for:
Team Leadership & Development
- Recruit, mentor, and develop District Managers (DMs) and General Managers (GMs( to build strong, high-performing teams
- Provide regular coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations to support professional growth
- Foster a culture of accountability, empowerment, and guest-first hospitality
Operational Oversight
- Maintain consistent communication with the VP of Operations, reporting on financials, staffing, development, and strategic plans
- Conduct regular check-ins with District Managers and General Managers to review operational performance and action plans
- Ensure compliance with all Coastal Franchising and Dunkin’ operational standards and policies
Financial Performance
- Collaborate with DMs to set and achieve financial goals, including:
- Sales forecasting
- Labor and food cost control
- Expense management
- Inventory accuracy
- Profitability improvement
- Monitor and influence key performance indicators to drive market success.
Market Growth & Strategy
- Support new restaurant openings, remodels, and local marketing initiatives.
- Partner with Marketing and the VP of Operations to identify trends and implement strategic improvements
- Communicate development timelines and impacts to ensure smooth execution across the market
Training & Compliance
- Leverage Coastal Franchising's Learning & Development team to meet training and development goals for team
- Promote a safe, secure, and inclusive environment for team members and guests
- Uphold all company policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum 7 years of Director-level experience in restaurant operations with a degree, or 10 years without a degree

Physical Requirements
- Must Live in Virginia area
