Job Title: Ophthalmic Technician

Coastal Eye Surgeons is a leading ophthalmology practice recognized for delivering cutting-edge care and advancing innovation in eye health through clinical research. We are expanding our dedicated research team and seeking a detail-oriented Ophthalmic Technician with prior experience in ophthalmology to support our clinical studies.
Position Overview:
The Ophthalmic Technician will work exclusively with our clinical research department to perform ophthalmic testing and support study-related procedures. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical skills and an interest in clinical research, who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday
- No weekends
Responsibilities:
- Perform ophthalmic diagnostic testing including visual acuity, refractions, OCT, fundus photography, IOP measurement, and visual fields in accordance with study protocols
- Assist with clinical trial visits and protocol-required procedures
- Maintain accurate and compliant source documentation, charts, and study forms
- Ensure calibration and proper use of ophthalmic equipment for research activities
- Support compliance with GCP, HIPAA, and study-specific requirement

- Qualifications:
- Prior experience in an ophthalmology practice is required
- Strong technical skills with ophthalmic equipment and diagnostic testing
- Familiarity with clinical research or willingness to be trained in clinical research protocols
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Professional communication skills with patients, physicians, and research staff
