Parts Counter Sales Associate – Yorktown VA
Coastal Equipment Corp. is the authorized John Deere dealer serving eastern Virginia and is seeking an experienced Parts Counter Sales Associate to work out of our Yorktown, VA location. This position is responsible for assisting customers with identifying parts needs, ordering parts, looking up parts in business system, recording counter sales transactions, and stocking and maintaining merchandise displays and warehouse. Seeking energetic, personable candidates with a minimum of 3 years of parts counter and/or mechanical experience preferred. Experience in the heavy equipment industry is preferred. Associates degree or higher is a plus.
Job responsibilities:
· Sell products and/or service to meet customer needs
· Supply technicians with parts as required
· Maintain and organize displays in the parts lobby
· Record parts sales transactions
· Participate in job-related training
Qualifications:
Requirements for the Parts Counter Sales Associate Position include:
· Self-starter with the ability to work independently as needed.
· Exceptional customer service skills and personable attitude
· Ability to build trust and relationships with customers
· Must be able to multi-task and assist multiple customers at a time
· Strong computer skills and experience with standard Microsoft programs and ability to learn other business systems
· Technical experience in the industry is a plus
· Must be able to lift, carry and maneuver items up to 40 pounds.
