Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of all designated areas, including floors, restrooms, offices, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies
- Conduct routine janitorial tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, trash removal, and disinfecting surfaces to uphold hygiene standards
- Carry out floor care procedures including buffing, polishing, stripping, and sealing floors to maintain a professional appearance
- Support industrial cleaning activities as needed, including equipment cleaning and debris removal in warehouse or manufacturing settings
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, painting touch-ups, and ensuring equipment is in good working order
- Follow safety protocols during all custodial activities to prevent accidents or injuries
- Maintain detailed records of cleaning schedules and report any maintenance issues promptly
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services with knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning techniques
- Familiarity with floor care procedures including buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing floors
- Ability to perform residential painting or basic maintenance tasks when required
- Strong understanding of facilities maintenance practices and safety standards
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to cleanliness and organization
- Physical stamina to perform manual tasks such as lifting, bending, standing for extended periods and operating cleaning equipment
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and report issues clearly
