Operate and drive school buses in various conditions, communicate rules and safety requirements to passengers, address behavioral issues, assist with boarding and unloading, including students with disabilities, inspect vehicles daily, perform basic maintenance, and ensure passenger comfort by regulating climate controls. Maintain accurate records, follow routes using maps and directions, operate two-way radios, and ensure cleanliness and safety of the bus.
Qualifications & Skills
Ability to obtain a School Bus License with Passenger Endorsement, pass a medical exam, and meet DOT drug and alcohol testing requirements. Possess strong problem-solving, interpersonal, communication, planning, and organizational skills. Demonstrate dependability, adaptability, and attention to detail to ensure quality and safety in operations.
