Key Responsibilities Include
- Operating tractor-trailer units safely and efficiently, performing daily pre-trip and safety inspections.
- Hooking/unhooking trailers and converter dollies, verifying documentation, and maintaining accurate logs.
- Complying with hazardous material regulations, following dispatch instructions, and communicating effectively with dispatch.
- Loading/unloading freight, performing chaining of tires if necessary, and possibly performing duties of city driver or dock worker when needed.
