Part Time - City Driver

Position Overview: Support freight transportation by picking up and delivering between Service Centers and customers, while assisting the selling process.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles and triples, following safety and operational procedures.
• Perform pre-trip and safety inspections, secure freight using appropriate tools, and handle freight with motorized/manual equipment.
• Verify documentation, comply with hazardous material regulations, and process charges and reports.
• Communicate with dispatch and customers regarding deliveries, solicit additional business, and demonstrate customer service skills.
• May perform tire chaining, road driving, or dock duties as needed, adhering to laws and policies.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Valid Class A CDL with necessary endorsements, including hazardous materials and tank, with automatic restriction allowed.
• At least one year of recent driving experience or completion of a driver development course.
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and compliance with DOT regulations.
• Ability to perform basic math, lift up to 100 pounds, and work independently or in teams.
• Effective communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
  
  

Working Conditions: Driving on various roads and weather conditions, exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and potential hazardous materials. Flexibility in hours based on operational needs.
