Job Title: Digital Payments SpecialistPosition Location: Raleigh, NC. Hybrid Position, must live locally.Job Summary:The Digital Payments Specialist supports the Credit Union's digital payment infrastructure, ensuring secure, compliant, and efficient processing of digital transactions. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day operations of payment channels including RTP, FedNow, Zelle, A2A, P2P, and bill payment. As a key contributor to the Coastal team, your responsibilities will be:(30%) Provide tier 2 support for RTP, FedNow, Zelle, A2A, P2P, and bill payment by exercising sound judgement in identifying, assessing, and decisioning potentially fraudulent or suspicious activity in accordance with company policies and regulatory guidelines. Monitor transaction activity for fraud, compliance, and operational risk indicators by utilizing system and scoring models to determine proper course of action. This includes analyzing the data, collaborating with multiple vendors, and communicating/coordinating/testing with internal partners.(30%) Provide recommendations and contribute to strategic payment initiatives by staying informed on industry trends, regulatory updates (e.g. NACHA, Reg E, UCC 4A), and emerging technologies. Contribute to those initiatives by creating test plans and documentation.(20%) Serve as a liaison between internal departments (Digital, Risk, IT) and external vendors or payment networks to investigate and resolve payment processing issues such as delays, duplicate payments, or system outages. Collaborate with internal teams to mitigate issues and appropriately communicate those issues to members and/or management. (10%) Maintain documentation, policies, and procedures in alignment with regulatory and audit requirements.(10%) Provide training and support to branch and back-office staff on digital payment systems.Interested?
